Abstract/Notes

Abstract: In many parts of the world, meat consumption makes up a big portion of a typical diet, particularly in the U.S. and other developed countries. Although meat is an important source of protein, iron, minerals, vitamins and fats, some components of meat, such as saturated fats and cholesterol can contribute to negative health consequences. Researchers are currently investigating whether there are any negative impacts linking meat consumption with breast cancer risk.
