Abstract/Notes

A case of "hepatitis B," diagnosed and treated at the National College of Chiropractic Lombard Clinic, is reported. The diagnosis was based on evaluation of history, physical examination, urinalysis and a Chem-26 profile. Following a treatment regimen of rest, dietary management, gamma globulin injections and chiropractic manipulative therapy over a two and one half month period, patient reported feeling much improved and all laboratory findings were found within normal range, however; prognosis is considered guarded since complications of sequelae often arise in hepatitis conditions 10, 20 or even 30 years later. In view of the essentially negative history of the patient on presentation, differential diagnositic consideration are reviewed.
