Abstract/Notes

Hypermobility of the atlanto-axial articulation complex is described in a patient presenting with a cervical-cerebral syndrome. Interpretation by means of standard static radiographs failed to disclose the nature of the functional post-traumatic disorder. Cinefluorographic visualization of the articulation in motion demonstrated abnormal mobility. A discussion of the necessity of stress radiography is presented.
