Abstract/Notes

The “art of medicine” is important in all healing interactions.  Most examinations of chiropractic from an allopathic or orthodox perspective do not explore the actual clinical experience of patient-practitioner interaction, but rather dwell upon chiropractic theories.  Utilizing the case study method of observation and interview, this paper traces the “hands-on” aspects of spinal manipulative therapy, and the apparent success and limitations of this alternative school.
