Abstract/Notes

The 1910 Palmer School of Chiropractic student walkout, resulting in the formation of the Universal Chiropractic College, has long been interpreted as a reaction against B.J. Palmer's the introduction of X-ray on the Palmer campus and into the profession. Careful review of contemporaneous accounts, corroborated by subsequent reflections on the event, suggests a much different precipitating factor.
