Abstract: This article reviews the attributes and achievements that led to Dr. Sportelli becoming a leader in the chiropractic profession in Pennsylvania and the United States, in the raw environment of the 1960s to the 1980s. His expanding abilities, broad vision, and achievements affirmed his leadership role in the changing healthcare era the emerged since the early 1990s, both nationally and globally.
