Abstract/Notes

Excerpt: Wolinsky's meticulous journalistic sleuthing and fascinating account of the case, Wilke et al. v. AMA et al., is told in crisp, fast-moving prose.  Some of the details are bizzare, thrilling, and even funny.  It is indeed a medico-legal thriller complete with colorful details about the protagonists and where they hailed from.

Lawsuit discussed in the book: Wilk et al v American Medical Association et al Nos. 87-2672 and 87-2777 (F. 2d 352 Court of Appeals 7th Circuit, April 25, 1990)
