Abstract/Notes

Objective:  To report on the positive health outcomes following chiropractic in a woman suffering from multi-level spondylolisthesis.

Clinical Features: A 63-year-old female body builder presented with severe low back pain. Lateral Lumbar X-rays showed two retrolisthesis and one anterolisthesis.

Interventions and Outcomes: Chiropractic care utilizing Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) care including chiropractic adjustments, Mirror Image exercise, and CBP traction was performed. The patient’s x-rays demonstrated a decrease in severity of translation at all three levels of spondylolisthesis.

Conclusion: In this case, the use of chiropractic including adjustments, exercise, and CBP traction reduced the severity of translation in degenerative spondylolisthesis.  Further research is recommended.
