Abstract/Notes

Attempts to treat scoliosis with exercises and chiropractic adjustments are not a new concept to most doctors in the profession, yet many of our colleagues remain relatively outdated in their knowledge of applying effective scoliosis exercises in a clinical setting. A brief review of the mainstream scoliosis exercise-based approaches as well as an in-depth discussion on the efforts currently underway to re-educate the automatic postural control in the hind brain, provide one with the basis to understand where the role of exercise-based treatment for scoliosis has been and is most likely to head in the future of the chiropractic profession.
