Title Emergency Care in Athletic Training [by] K. Gorse, R. Blanc, F. Feld and M. Radelet [book review]
Journal Clin Chiropr. 2011 Sep;14(3):127-128
Peer Review No
Publication Type Book Review
Abstract/Notes Excerpt: This is a textbook aimed at student athletic trainers and the level of content on anatomy, pathology, epidemiology, assessment, and management can be brief at times. However, this text does a commendable job of providing a sufficient overview of a large number of emergency and life threatening injuries. The amount of specific detail covered for various emergency situations often goes beyond the minimum requirement. Thus, this text may be useful to both students and any professional sports specialist, especially those who have experience with athletic populations in fieldwork situations.
