Abstract/Notes Excerpt: Overall, I would recommend this text to policymakers, researchers and educational leaders in interprofessional teamwork for an understanding of its conceptual framework. The text contains a useful resource and reference list for clinicians and students as avenues for more specific information. Most importantly, it serves as a pivotal text in generating discussion around the complexity of teamwork and challenging the assumption that collaboration is beneficial for health care. This much-needed approach by the authors is valuable in setting the theoretical foundation for future texts that critically appraise research in the field of interprofessional teamwork.
