Abstract/Notes Gallbladder disease is a fairly common health condition. It encompasses infection, inflammation (or cholecystitis), or obstruction of the gallbladder as well as gallstones (or cholelithiasis). The incidence of gallbladder disease is high and occurs more frequently in women than men. Due to the risk of colon cancer that may arise out of gallbladder problems, it is worthwhile to explore how we can best manage these conditions.
