Abstract/Notes A possible correlation between a shorter birth time and the later development of infantile colic has previously been reported. We have based on hospital data and with the help of health visitor nurses tried to confirm this and to identify which phase of birth may be involved. In a case control study with only 13 participants, our results show that infants with infantile colic have a statistically significant shorter second phase of birth than infants in our control group.

Conclusions: The prevalence of neck pain was higher in forwards; however, the prevalence of decreased head repositioning accuracy was not statistically different from that of backs. All the forwards and backs demonstrated decreased cervical range of motion.
