Abstract/Notes In the history of any profession there will be those few exceptional individuals whose accomplishments stand out above all others. Dr. Orval Hidde is such a person. His pivotal role in securing federal recognition for the Council on Chiropractic Education's college accrediting commission changed the course of chiropractic history. He has freely given of his time and multiple talents to his alma mater and, thus, contributed to the legacy of the National. Not one to seek the limelight, we nonetheless shine it on him during this, the centennial of his alma mater.
