Abstract/Notes Excerpt: It is widely recognized that the ability to position the scapula at rest and during movements/tasks (scapular positioning) is essential for optimal upper limb function.1,2 Scapular positioning should be optimal in relation to both the thorax and the humerus. In relation to the humerus, optimal positioning is essential for appropriate positioning of the glenoid, which in turn guarantees mobility and stability of the glenohumeral joint.
