Abstract/Notes

With cold weather knocking on the door, many are concerned about falling victim to colds and flu. Flu vaccine—the most effective way to prevent the flu, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—remains a controversial subject. The article describes what research says about natural immunity-boosting alternatives—garlic, vitamin C, Echinacea, tea, zinc lozenges, and discusses the connection between stress and the viral infections.
