Abstract/Notes Imagine a managed care network of chiropractors, by chiropractors, and for chiropractors that would handle the chiropractic benefits of large national and regional health insurance companies to make sure that claims are handled fairly and appropriately, according to the best current chiropractic evidence.

Sounds good, right? But in practice, according to doctors of chiropractic across the country, leading chiropractic managed care networks have evolved into something more like “care-denial networks.” The drumbeat of complaints and concerns has grown louder.
