Abstract/Notes This case report details the case of a 56-year-old builder experiencing low back pain following a fall of three-and-a-half metres, resulting in a compression fracture of the L2 vertebra. The radiological findings of compression fractures are listed and explained; as are the clinical implications to the chiropractor in regards to the differentiation and management of stable and unstable fractures; the risk of further fracture in osteoporotic compression fractures and the possible causative link between spinal manipulation and compression fractures.
