Abstract/Notes

Excerpt: Over the course of the year, UK chiropractors have been not so much rocked as continually irritated by a seemingly endless series of articles from the pen of Professor Ernst. The Exeter-based Austrian don is, as he constantly reminds us, the "only professor of alternative and complementary medicine in the country".

Given his unique position, it therefore seems sad that he spends so much time writing sensationalist articles in the popular press and so little on instigating the research into complementary medicine that he claims is so sadly lacking.
