Abstract/Notes Chiropractors have worked in Spain since 1922, although as of spring 2007, the profession still has no recognition in Spain’s legal or educational system. Spain’s first D.C., Pedro Alborna Soler (Palmer School of Chiropractic [PSC], 1917) worked in Barcelona from 1922 till his death in 1961. Amadeo Morera Viladrosa (PSC, 1959), Spain’s oldest living and second D.C., continues working today in Barcelona. Currently, two hundred and fifty D.C.s, all but thirty foreign immigrants, serve Spain’s forty-four million inhabitants.
